We have recently come across a treasure trove of plans for Pigboat era submarines. Many of them highlight modifications that were made for WW II operations, but we have included them here as they are directly relevant to submarines of our era. More are coming in an update to follow. Ric has also been busy with some AI-driven photograph colorization software. <div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color:#00008B">We added three entries to our [[Notable Submarine Accidents|'''Notable Submarine Accidents page''']]. They cover the interesting and tragic stories of accidents that befell the E-2 (Submarine No. 25), S-5 (SS-110), and O-9 (SS-70). They are inspirational tales of our Navy at its best, and unfortunately also at its worst. Please check them out!

We have just completed a mini update to several pages. First is a rewrite of the Photo Features page for Julian K. Morrison. We added new information that rounds out the story of this amazing man. Second is a revised Submarine Specifications page. It has been updated with new information from the monumental book by Lyle Cummins: Diesels for the First Stealth Weapon: Submarine Power 1902-1945. Third is a rewrite of the Photo Features page on CAPT Donald C. Bingham, adding links to some of his other commands and duty stations, and a link to a Bingham oral history monograph detailing life on the early pigboats. This document was graciously sent to this site by naval historian Ryan C. Walker. Thank you Ryan for this glimpse into life on the pigboats!

In addition, we have completed a rewrite of the S-20 page, adding new information that adds quite a bit to the story of this unique boat. We have also explored the Great Torpedo Scandal of WWII, which includes an alternate history scenario that lays out a plausible timeline of how the scandal could have been avoided. Take a look at this page to read about "Those Marvelous Tin Fish".

We have also moved some information to our Notable Submarine Accidents page, rounding out that list of USN submarine accidents.

We would love to hear from you! Please email us with questions, comments, or corrections at the email address listed at the bottom of this page.
