H-6

H-6 underway off San Pedro, CA. with three battleships, circa 1919. The battleship on the left is a Wyoming-class ship. The closest BB on the right is a South Carolina-class, and the furthest on the right is unidentified.
Photo in the private collection of Ric Hedman. Many thanks to Steve Reichmuth for providing the battleship information.
A very nice high resolution image of H-6 sitting still on a calm San Pedro Bay, circa 1920. You couldn't ask for a more idyllic scene for a photo. On the deck behind the conning tower fairwater are a civilian man and woman taking in the experience. The boat may have been taking some dignitaries for a ride.
U.S. Navy photo.
The conning tower airwater of the H-6 in San Pedro, CA. approximately 1920. The sailor to the left of the fairwater is either working or relaxing in the shade. All hatches seem to be open to help cool and ventilate the boat.
