N-4 under construction at the Lake Torpedo Boat Company yard in Bridgeport, CT., October 1, 1917. O-12 (Submarine No. 73) is next to her. Lake, as usual, was running behind on construction schedules and N-4 was still being worked on as the newer boats were sliding down the ways.
