<div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color:#00008B">This is a rare photograph taken while S-41 was submerged, date and location unknown. The photo was taken inside the conning tower, through one of the small deadlight portholes on the port side. The dark overhang at the top of the photo is the bottom of the bridge structure. The sub has just dived and has reached a depth of about 40 feet under the surface of the ocean. Bubbles can be seen escaping from structures under the walking deck and ascending past the radio antenna wires. The view is looking at the deck gun pointers position used to elevate the gun. The cover over the breech end of the gun is in place in this photo.
