Take a look at our Submarine Plans and Blueprints section (link on left)! We have recently come across a treasure trove of plans for Pigboat era submarines. Many of them highlight modifications that were made for WW II operations, but we have included them here as they are directly relevant to submarines of our era. More are coming in an update to follow. Ric has also been busy with some AI-driven photograph colorization software. He has colorized several photos of Squalus (SS-192) on her launch day. In addition, he as colorized several interior photos of Squalus taken after her salvage. The color enhances what can be seen in the photos, making certain details pop out.

We added three entries to our Notable Submarine Accidents page. They cover the interesting and tragic stories of accidents that befell the E-2 (Submarine No. 25), S-5 (SS-110), and O-9 (SS-70). They are inspirational tales of our Navy at its best, and unfortunately also at its worst. Please check them out!
